The Idea
Hi! I’m Rico, the founder of Lampiece.
I founded Lampiece because I wanted to create a gift with real emotional impact. A gift with a story, something that would spark real emotion for both me and a loved one. I struggled to find presents that felt truly personal, unique, and full of sentiment, so I set out to create my own.
Inspired by the magic of light and the beauty of personalized illustrations, I envisioned a gift that would combine the two. A one-of-a-kind lamp that captures memories and stories, and brings them to life with light. Not mass-produced. Not generic. A unique piece crafted for one story, one moment and one person.
The Journey
I built Lampiece from scratch with a strong focus on design, quality, craftsmanship, and customer experience. I started in 2022 while still studying full-time, setting up production in The Netherlands and developing a feedback-driven design process. I shaped every part of the customer journey, from placing an order to the unboxing moment, with the goal of making gifting feel special, effortless, and emotional.
In the summer of 2024, after graduating, I decided to go full-time with Lampiece, as more and more customers (and gift recipients!) let me know how special this gift truly was.
Since then, Lampiece has grown from an idea into a brand that has brought joy to more than 15,000 gift givers, and just as many happy recipients 😉, in over 30 countries. With hundreds of personal messages and 700+ five-star reviews across multiple platforms, the response has been overwhelming in the best possible way.
My Plans
What started as a personal project has become a business rooted in authenticity, creativity, and heartfelt service. My mission is to keep creating emotional, lasting gifts while sharing my journey openly to connect with customers on a deeper level.
I’m working on new super-personalized gift ideas, all crafted here in the Netherlands, with the goal of becoming Europe’s go-to destination for meaningful presents!
