The Idea
Hi! I’m Rico, the founder of Lampiece.
I started Lampiece because I wanted to create a gift with true emotional impact. A gift with a story, something that evokes real feelings for both myself and the people I care about. I struggled to find gifts that felt genuinely personal, unique, and meaningful, so I decided to create them myself.
Inspired by the magic of light and the charm of personalized illustrations, I envisioned a gift that brings these two elements together. A unique lamp that transforms memories and stories into something extraordinary. No mass production. No generic gifts. Just something crafted for one story, one moment, and one person.
The Adventure
I built Lampiece from the ground up, with a relentless focus on design, quality, craftsmanship, and the customer experience. I started in 2022 while still studying full-time, setting up our entire production right here in the Netherlands. I developed a design and feedback process centered entirely around care and personal attention. Every step of the customer journey, from placing an order to the unboxing, is designed to make gifting feel special, effortless, and deeply emotional.
In the summer of 2024, after graduating, I decided to go all-in on Lampiece. More and more customers (and gift recipients!) were reaching out to let me know just how much this gift meant to them.
Since then, Lampiece has grown from a simple idea into a brand that has brought joy to over 15,000 gift-givers, and just as many happy recipients 😉, across more than 30 countries. With hundreds of personal messages and over 900 five-star reviews across various platforms, the appreciation has been truly overwhelming.
My Plans
What started as a personal project has grown into a business built on authenticity, creativity, and genuine service. My mission is to continue creating emotional, timeless gifts while sharing my own journey, allowing me to connect with my customers on a deeper level.
I’m currently working on new, hyper-personalized gift ideas, all crafted right here in the Netherlands. My goal is to become the go-to destination in Europe for gifts that carry true meaning!
